Using the principles and knowledge of business strategy and policy to study and analyze collected data, market supply/demand trends for company's products and generate analysis reports for management decision making such as market condition and products trends analysis, pricing analysis, competitor evaluation, an customer's usage change study. Assisting management in designing strategic plan to market company's products, identify potential customers, enhance company's image, visibility and expand market share. Collecting and analyse information to assist in marketing and determine whether a demand exists for a particular product or service. Market researchers may have to work in the evenings or on weekends. Personal Requirements:
Education Requirement: Minimum BA in Business or marketing; MBA preferred. Mathematical Skills: Ability to comprehend and apply principles of advanced calculus, modern algebra, and advanced statistical theory. Ability to work with concepts such as limits, rings, quadratic and differential equations, and proofs of theorems. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, musical notes, etc.,) in its most difficult phases. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables. Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Accounting software; Contact Management systems; Database software; Design software; Human Resource systems; Internet software; Inventory software; Manufacturing software; Order processing systems; Project Management software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
