A five to ten-minute application, three or four times per day are normally recommended. However, longer applications of up to 30 minutes are sometimes required. Allow a break of at least 45 minutes between applications. Stop the treatment if the skin becomes too red or if you feel any discomfort. Some redness is normal and will disappear in less than one hour. The use of creams and lotion can increase the effect of radiation and is not recommended without the advice of a doctor. Do not use the heat lamp directly on wet skin. When using it on the head near the eyes, close your eyes and always work with low temperature settings.
